Our Story
Top Dog Pool Supply began in 1986. It was founded by Jim Cecero as a pool cleaning service known as Top Dog Pool Service. Initially a part-time endeavor, Jim’s business soon attracted attention, leading to a growing customer base. As word spread about the quality of service, demand increased.
Over the years, the business expanded significantly. What started with pool cleaning evolved into repairing essential swimming pool equipment like pumps, filters, and heaters. Leveraging his extensive background in electrical and plumbing, Jim secured a California State Contractor License, allowing for enhanced repair and installation services.
Eventually, the company evolved into Top Dog Swimming Pool Repair. During those early days, Jim ran the entire operation alone from a repurposed potato chip delivery truck. Customer interactions relied on one of the pioneering portable cell phones, reflecting the innovative spirit that defined the business from the start.
